Carolina’s SaaS User Group - Inaugural Meeting
Southend Brewery - 2100 South
Boulevard - Charlotte, NC
5:30 - 7:30PM
Thanks to everyone who was able to attend the Inaugural SaaS
User Group Meeting. I am excited to say that we had 75 attendees
representing 60 companies congregate at Southend Brewery on the
launch of our group! The core of the Carolinas’ SaaS base was in
attendance.
Based on the 60+ surveys filled out; below
is a summary of what we learned
Nearly 65% of attendees were IT/Operations professionals,
followed by nearly 25% Executives
The primary reasons people attended the Inaugural event were
pretty much an even distribution between: Networking, personal
education, and sharing best practices around SaaS delivery
Overwhelmingly, members would prefer an organized format for
future meetings. 65% preferring an organized roundtable
structure and 35% looking for defined topic with guest speaker
Almost everyone selected to meet every other month, with several
write-ins for quarterly meetings
The topics of most interest are “SaaS Industry Trends” (43%) and
“The impact of SaaS on Business/IT” (47%)
Most everyone is fine with a small membership fee
